About Us

Dr.Abdul Kassim Rahman M.B.B.S.,F.R.C.S., is the founder of our College of Education.He studied and graduated from Stanley Medical College and awarded with MBBS degree in 1966. In Melbourne after receiving surgical training, he went over to great Britain and got his FRCS. Returning to Australia he continued his surgical career and obtained FRACS. Our College is started in the year of 2010 and it is affiliated to Tamilnadu Teachers Education University, having vision, "To provide an all quality education to students from all communities with English and inculcate the students for becoming Ideal Teachers preparing competency based commitment, Technology based pedagogy and to create a better teaching professionals. Our college students have been getting excellent results every year.

Our Motto

Provide opportunities for understanding self and others (including one's beliefs, assumptions and emotions); developing the ability for self analysis, self-evaluation, adaptability, flexibility, creativity and innovation. Provide opportunities to enhance understanding, knowledge and examine disciplinary knowledge and social realities, relate subject matter with the social milieu and develop critical thinking.

Assessment

Evaluation of needs to focus on assessment of understanding and skills concerning planning, conducting and evaluating joyful activities for student teachers. Assessment of attitudinal change and value orientation has to be an integral part of the total evaluation mechanism. Separate evaluation is conducted for theory, practice teaching and field experiences. The responsibility of assessment of practice teaching needs to be shared both by the cooperative teacher and the teacher Educator.
